Iteration Management

Keep iterations short in the beginning, one to two weeks. Later, you can make them longer if you prefer. By the end of an iteration, the stakeholder will have to formally accept all the User Stories engineering believes they completed. Accepted User Stories get "velocity credit". Unaccepted User Stories do not. The total velocity credit becomes your baseline planning velocity for the next iteration, so you should only add as many User Stories to the next iteration so as not to exceed the planning velocity.
